PositivePlumbing™ Brings Clean Water to Nepal
Mark Vitow Ltd, part of the VITOW GROUP was proud to sponsor an incredible humanitarian project in Nepal as part of our PositivePlumbing™ initiative -supporting the next generation of plumbing professionals while helping communities access clean, reliable water.
Organised by the Worshipful Company of Plumbers and the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering through their Plumbing Professionals Development Scheme (PPDS), the Bokhejunda Water Distribution Project worked to restore running water to the remote village of Changam Basti in Nepal’s Rasuwa District.
As part of the project, VITOW GROUP sponsored Daisy Turner, winner of the 2024 HIP Magazine Learner of the Year award, as she joined a team of PPDS volunteers working alongside the Dolma Foundation and the local community.
The team repaired and upgraded a gravity-fed water system, including new storage tanks and more than two kilometres of replacement pipework — helping provide 24-hour access to clean water for more than sixty residents.
This project reflects exactly what PositivePlumbing™ stands for: using the plumbing industry to create meaningful opportunities, support emerging talent, and make a lasting difference where it matters most.
